Russian reconnaissance from the Southern Group of Forces spotted them from the air. They dropped a radio to the civilians from a copter and coordinated their movement to our positions. But the group of civilians was also spotted by Ukrainian drones

Artillery began to fire on the residents of Chasy Yar. Civilians took cover in a concrete pillbox-cap. The enemy, perfectly aware that there were civilians there, continued shelling. Shells and mines fell right next to the shelter
