Catch and Cook Rainbow Trout in the Mountains Using Foraged Wild Leeks and Morels

It is early spring in Pennsylvania, and I am fishing a little mountain creek. Along with some tiny native brook trout, I also capture some larger Rainbow trout. I pick some wild leeks, sometimes known as "ramps," from a nearby hillside where they are growing close to the stream because they are easy to locate and up this time of year. They go nicely with fish because of their powerful onion/garlic flavor. For a delicious springtime lunch in the Appalachian Mountains, I also added some little morel mushrooms that I had discovered #bushcraft #survival #nature #catching #wildcooking
