Texas man punched election worker over Trump hat at voting site, police say

In Texas, a man wearing a pro-Trump hat allegedly assaulted an election worker who reminded him that campaign items are banned in polling places.

The 69-year-old worker, treated on-site, returned to his post the next day.

The suspect, Jesse Lutzenberger, was arrested on felony assault charges and remains in jail.

The incident took place in San Antonio as Texas entered its first week of early voting, marked by long lines, CBS News has reported.
