Lake Bolsena, the moment of a wave

Lake Bolsena, a volcanic lake in central Italy, is a place steeped in ancient history and Etruscan mysteries. Formed from the caldera of an extinct volcano, its deep, dark waters have long been a subject of intrigue, drawing legends and tales of ancient spirits. The Etruscans, who thrived in this region thousands of years ago, left behind countless artifacts and clues to their sophisticated society, but much about their way of life—and their connections to the lake—remains enigmatic.

One of the mysteries surrounding Lake Bolsena is the belief that it was a sacred site for the Etruscans.
