New Heavens and New Earth

I wrote this after reading Jacques Ellul's "Freedom, Love, and Power"
...and was struck by how evening precedes the day in Genesis 1: "it was evening, then morning, the ... day" .
And that pattern still holds to this day.

We are in the evening, the dark last days,
the fading world,
but like stars we shine through the night...
We act as lamp lights.

But after Genesis the goal of creation and salvation is symbolized in Revelation.
The New Jerusalem is the sanctified elect bride, and New heavens and New earth is the glorified cosmos with no Satan , evil, and death.

This is the goal of salvation and creation:
To enter full communion with the Father through our union with his son Jesus in his abode - the unified and glorified cosmos.

I really BELIEVE because we've lost this goal and vision, our spiritual lives are weak and our focus misdirected into this world and its many idols.

The gospel message has been diluted.
Many of the verses in this piece are bible verses.
