Death trap’ Channel boats traded by smugglers in German city

Evidence of how Germany is being used to store small boats before they are used by migrants to cross the English Channel has been uncovered by a investigation.

During covert filming, two smugglers revealed how boats were being stored in secret warehouses in the city of Essen.
