Operations staff for 1st Army Corps issued a warning order to 1st Battalion, Chernarus 9th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade, that a separatist force had taken over the town of the Vlikonice in northern Sumava.

A task force was assembled consisting of four truck born rifle squads, two T-34 tanks with mounted recon squads and two BRDM Scout cars. The operation was mounted at dusk, which entailed transport at night through very narrow mountain roads. On several occasions three of the four transport trucks were damaged and were forced to be abandoned. Task Force commander ordered those remnants to proceed to the objective area on foot.

The march to Vlikonice took 75 minutes, which is an unusually long march.

Once the task force was assembled south of the objective area, Scout 1 BRDM exchanged gunfire with a heavy machine gun technical. Scout 2 was redirected to the east while 4th Squad came under gunfire. 2nd Squad and 3rd Squad advanced north into town, with Command Squad.

Recon Rifle Squad 1 already had dismounted their T-34 and was ordered to converge on the location where the two civilian criminal command operatives were staying, along with Command Squad. The civilian criminal command operatives attempted to resist with gunfire with Wagner Group operators providing security along with Russian militia. In the end it was not enough, and the civilian criminal command operatives were destroyed.

Seized from the female minder was a list of assassins, their cell phone numbers, as well as a cell phone.

Meanwhile, over to the east side 4th Squad and 3rd Squad continue to defend against incoming enemy infantry attacks, as Command Squad advanced to a location where the separatists had parked their supply trucks: two ammunition trucks, and one fuel truck. Commander came under heavy fire from an enemy heavy machine gun technical. Commander ordered Recon Tank 1 to swing round to the location of the technical and to put it out of action. But the enemy counter fire continued.

In their zeal to counter enemy movement and gunfire, 3rd Squad and 4th Squad suffered heavy casualties and so were ordered to withdraw South to Rally 1, located in the village of Budetice. The enemy counterattacks continued. Command Squad, along with the two BRDM Scout cars resisted the attacks as best they could until at a point the commander ordered them to draw back to Rally 1.

Commander ordered the task force to withdraw straight down the main road with the BRDM scout cars over watching. 2nd Squad and 3rd Squad withdrew first, then Recon Squad 1 with Recon Tank 1, with both BRDM scout cars providing covering fire. Commander then ordered Recon Rifle Squad 2 and Recon Tank 2 to deploy along the road to help cover the retreat.

Commander became the last man out.

Casualties were heavy. 4th Squad was wiped out, 3rd Squad lost seven, and 2nd Squad lost two. Command Squad lost two.

Field counts of enemy losses included no fewer than six technicals.

Although losses in infantry were heavy, for an operation of this kind at night, losses were comparatively light. The task force completed its main mission of capturing the village of Vlikonice, and preventing advancing enemy reinforcements from preventing our withdrawal.
