The Lord is Upright - An interview with Dr Andrew Wakefield
In the pursuit of links between childhood vaccines, intestinal inflammation, and neurological injury in children, Dr. Andy Wakefield, a gastroenterologist, lost his job in the Department of Medicine at London’s Royal Free Hospital, his country, career, Fellowships, and his medical license. Andy re-invented himself as a filmmaker. He is the co-founder of the Autism Media Channel, and the founder of 7th Chakra Films. In 2020 he released 1986: The Act, a docudrama story of the corruption behind liability protection for vaccine manufacturers. He is the director of his first major narrative feature, Protocol 7.
This is our second interview with Andrew Wakefield. The first interview can be found here;

In this episode we discuss the following:
- Why were the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines combined to make an MMR vaccine?
Andy tells us that the stated reason and the real reason are not the same. The real reason was, at that time (in the late 60s), Merck had the monopoly on the Mumps vaccine and so by creating an MMR vaccine and making that the preferred vaccine, they could capture the measles market. At the time, many companies had the licence for the single measles vaccine, there was no exclusive licence for that. So the MMR creation was a shrewd business decision by Merck, not a health decision.
- We asked if even though Merck thought that combining the vaccines to make MMR was a great idea, didn’t they put themselves also in peril, because what happens if one part of the three begins to fail, which is what happened, the Mumps part started to fail.
Andrew explains that in fact , once the mumps started to fail Merck had an option to improve the vaccine or cheat. Improving it would mean opening up the market to others. They chose to cheat.
- We discuss how there was no autism occurring after the single vaccines, and no signal in the population before the MMR was first licenced. The signal began after the combination MMR vaccine was introduced. Andy’s 1995 paper suggested that the link between MMR and autism should be investigated. Andy explains that at that time, he had investigated about 180 children with regressive autism and gastrointestinal symptoms. Of those, only 2 had received the single measles vaccine, of which one had received it at 6 months of age (in the middle east) and a booster at 12 months, unrecommended. So the problem seemed to be associated with the MMR. They did NO long term studies comparing the safety of the single vaccines to the MMR. David Salisbury from the Department of Health said “We had no reason to assume that the safety profile would be any different.” But Andy points out that when you are intending to give this vaccine to every healthy child in the world you don’t make assumptions.
- Andy discusses viral interference with the MMR shot. The live viruses in the MMR interfered with the bodies ability to mount an immune response to other elements of the vaccine. So there is a reason to suspect a biological effect when combining the 3 together. And now some children are having 14 vaccines in one day. The approach to childhood vaccination has been entirely cavalier.
- In the UK in the 90s the children were receiving the MMR shot at around 18 months to 2 years. But now, all children are receiving their first MMR shot at 12 months. Why? Andy tells us he has raised the fact that age of exposure matters, in the early 2000s to the CDC. If the younger the age one contracts measles increases the risk of a serious outcome, then it is logical that the younger the age one receives the MMR vaccine, also increases the possibility of an adverse event. They did test this hypothesis, and William Thompson confirmed that the younger the age of the MMR injection, the increased rate of adverse events. But then he changed his findings. We are now seeing an increased rate of autism with first MMR at 12 months compared to 18 months.
- Is there a possibility that the shot was moved forward to 12 months to conceal the existing autism signal at 18 months (as children speak hardly any words at 12 months , regression is less obvious). We don’t know.
- Andy made a recommendation that parents should have the choice to opt for the single vaccine, at that time (in the late 90’s) while further research into the MMR needed to be conducted. At that time the single vaccine was available in the US and the UK. But the UK government withdrew the importation licence for the single measles vaccine.
He said to the senior UK public health policy maker, Elisabeth Miller, in 1998, “If your aim is to protect children from measles, then why do you not avail parents the choice of how they do that. Give them access to both the single and MMR vaccines.” She said “If we allow parents the choice, it will destroy our MMR program”. Her concern was for the program, not about protecting the children.
At the same time Merck removed the single vaccine in the US.
- Protocol 7, is Andy’s new movie, he is the director and co writer. It’s a fictional story but it’s based on real life events. It’s based on the real life story of the Merck MMR whistle blower case. Andy met the actual 2 whistleblowers in this case, Merck scientists, Steve Krahling and Joan Wlochowski many years ago, when the case first emerged. The background was that towards the end of the 90s Merck realised that their mumps vaccine wasn’t working, they were out of compliance. They had the option to improve the vaccine or cheat, They chose to cheat. They cheated on many levels, but Andy chose to show 3 ways they cheated, for the movie, and all 3 occurred in real life. Steve Krahling, the real Merck scientist, decided he would not cheat, and alter his data, so he came forward and whistle blew.
- A case was filed on behalf of the plaintiff, the whistleblowers, in 2010. Multiple areas of fraud were highlighted, in addition to the 3 listed in the film, Protocol 7. The film was being made while the case was in progress. Its known as “Krahling vs Merck” (see ref below), but actually it is UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ex rel., STEPHEN A. KRAHLING; JOAN A. WLOCHOWSKI, Appellants v. MERCK & CO, INC.
Andy tells us that Merck did not deny the fraud, the court did not deny the fraud. But the court dismissed the case, deciding it was immaterial. The CDC went on buying the vaccine even though they knew about the fraud. So, in legal terms, this does not have materiality. The whistleblowers also lost the appeal. So it looks like these companies can do what they like, as long as they are in collusion with the government, who go on purchasing the vaccine. This is exactly what happened in Brook Jackson’s case with Pfizer and the Covid vaccine.
- We discuss the position the CDC was in if the Merck MMR product had to be pulled from the market. The CDC had been telling people it was safe and effective for years. Then they would have to admit they had known for years that it wasn’t effective anymore, as there were outbreaks of mumps in highly vaccinated populations. But the CDC will never do anything that will undermine the vaccine program. Andy tells us about a statement that was made in the US Federal Register (see ref below for evidence), in the 80’s. "The science of vaccine safety, whatever its merits, if there is doubt about a vaccine, that science cannot be allowed to exist". He says he bets they wish they had never written that.
- Andy recommends we watch an interview with Steve Krahling (Merck Whistleblower) and Brook Jackson (Pfizer whistleblower), together on a series called “Going Rogue”. Coming soon.
-Yow.tv is a secure platform that Andy’s team built. You can stream Protocol 7 movie from there. Yow is a hybrid eastern term for freedom. The films Vaxxed and 1986: The Act are also there.
- Protocol 7 has been shown at Regal Cinemas across America. It has won 30 film awards.
- Andrew has said in the past that “the perceived success of the polio vaccine has resulted in a childhood vaccine for every disease regardless of how serious it is, and every child should get it.”
The perceived success of the polio vaccine gave the vaccinologists the enthusiasm to make vaccines for milder and milder diseases.
He reminds us of the NIH meeting in 1961. Measles had declined. They brough in an English expert who said the measles vaccine is not a good idea. Measles mortality had already fallen by 99.96% since the 20’s. That means it’s a milder disease. That was natural herd immunity.
He recommends we watch 1986:The Act to see the truth about the polio vaccine.
- Andrew tells us what he thought when he first heard about the gene therapy covid vaccines in 2020? He says if you offend nature, if you give some self replicating thing based on gene therapy without any safety studies, just because you can do it. It’s the biggest mistake they have ever made. They will never get public confidence back.
