Ed Winter, the Deputy Los Angeles County Coroner handled the death investigations of some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities, including Whitney Houston, Paul Walker, Tom Petty, Brittany Murphy, and Michael Jackson.

He signed Jackson’s death certificate after Jackson’s doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, who was supposed to sign it, reportedly fled the hospital. He famously said that Jackson had “enough Propofol in him to put down a rhinoceros or an elephant.”

Winter’s first assignment on his first day on the job was the investigation into the 2003 death of actress Lana Clarkson inside the mansion of famed music producer Phil Spector. A jury found Spector guilty of Clarkson’s murder in 2009.

Winter retired from his position as Deputy L.A. County Coroner December 2019 after nearly 17 years on the job.

Brittany Murphy passed away on December 20, 2009, at the age of 32. Brittany allegedly collapsed on the bathroom floor in her Hollywood Hills home and was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles a few hours later.

Brittany Murphy autopsy was performed on December 21, 2009, the day after her death.

Winter retired from his position as Deputy L.A. County Coroner December 2019 after nearly 17 years on the job.

Brittany's final autopsy report was released on February 25, 2010, which concluded that Murphy’s death was caused by pneumonia, anemia, and “multiple drug intoxication” from both prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Surprisingly, Simon Monjack Brittnany's usband died five months later on May 23, 2010, in the same bedroom as Murphy. His death was eerily similar to his wife's, he also died from pneumonia and anemia.

Several theories have arisen about the cause of their deaths, including toxic mold or murder. Murphy's own father believed she was poisoned, although this has never been proven. Ultimately, those who knew the couple blame Monjack for Murphy's demise by possibly withholding medical attention until it was too late.

Date of Ed Winter's death: Friday, March 17, 2023 There was no information of a 2nd autopsy for Brittnay, the girl in the video must have it slightly wrong, as Ed retired (not died) in Dec 2009 the same month and year that he performed Brittnay's autopsy. But what is troubling, the other celebrity's he performed autopsy's on have many questions surrounding each of their deaths
