Supply Run to Asheville Part 1

This is the first 30ish minutes of 96 minutes of footage I got while running my family supplies after Hurricane Helene devastated WNC. I lived in WNC, specifically the Asheville area, from 1997 to 2022. My mom, sisters, and stepdad still live there. My commentary and videography do no justice to the amount of destruction that Helene's flooding caused. Part 1 is me going through Newport TN to get to Asheville NC, because at that time you were likely to get stopped by FEMA and your supplies you brought for others confiscated to be "dispersed by FEMA". Well let me tell you they were nowhere to be found, except at the Outlet Mall where they staged. Well the FEMA employees that didn't take ALL OF THE HOTELS IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA. I'm just one person and this is just one tale of many. Friends I've known for 20+ years have lost everything. Cooper is going on TV telling people in the worst hit areas to just do the buyout from the government and move somewhere else. They want to the people of Appalachia who have been the backbone of this country from literally the original 13 colonies on, to no longer be a thorn in the state and federal governments sides. But what do I know, I'm a high school dropout who makes gun parts.
