Messiah's Praiseworthy Women - E6 - Serving Like Messiah

1

Matthew 8:14-15
When YESHUA came into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. He touched her hand, and the fever left her. She got up and served him.

As I read the above verse I'm struck with the thought that service is a concept we see uplifted and encouraged throughout the Scriptures. It's a heart attitude that Messiah made a point of modeling to us in how He lived and ultimately in how He gave His life for us. At the heart of His dedication to service, is and was His love for the Father and His total commitment to obeying the Father's will. Truly there is nothing better to strive for than a similar level of commitment. Something the 144,000 and great multitude of Revelation are prophesied to attain through Yeshua Messiah.

I can't help but notice that people like Peter's mother in law are motivated to emulate that heart of service when they receive His outpouring in their lives. Whether it's forgiveness of sins, healing from sickness, freedom from demonic oppressors, His provision for their needs, the exact word of truth they needed, or simply the Good News of His very existence and love; and the hope that it brings, His people are moved to a heart of service and love by the power of His actions and presence in our lives.

In this month's discussion, we'll be looking at some examples of women who's lives were touched by Messiah and the heart of service they showed to Him in response. Join us as we explore the importance of Serving Like Messiah!
