This well made, easy to use and rather attractive timer is being marketed for some reason as a learning aid for children. No doubt it can serve that purpose perfectly well but to me, it is just a simple but rather impressive looking kitchen timer. Nothing wrong with that,

In the box, you receive the timer, a USB charging cable and a well written and easy to read user guide. Build quality all seems fine and the device has a rather premium feel not often found in budget devices like this one.

The LED display takes up all the front panel with the controls well laid and easy to find along the sides. Top left is a large knurled dial used to set the hours and minutes for the timer, press to start or stop the timer. Top right is a similar dial to set minutes and seconds and also to start and stop the timer. On the left are buttons to set the three stage display brightness and alarm volume, on the right are the power button and USB-C charging port. On the rear is a pull out kickstand.

For me, the main selling point for this device has to be the display, which is bright, clear and easy to see even from a distance. When switching on we see a digital timer in the centre with percentage markings along the circumference of the circular display. Rotate the dials to set the countdown period and press to start the countdown timer. A large red bar around the edge shows the remaining time visually as the digital timer counts down. The display flashes and the beeper sounds on completion.

To use the count up timer, just press the right dial and the elapsed time is displayed on the digital display in the centre of the screen. Long press either dial in to stop the current process and reset the timer, short press to pause and restart. The timer has a maximum countdown period of of 9 hours, 59 minutes 59 seconds. The device will turn off automatically when not used for five minutes.

The ‎3 x 8 x 8 cm; 160 g unit contains a battery which is charged through the USB-C port on the side. The LED screen has a battery status icon to alert you when charging is needed. The timer will still function when charging.

The device is easy to use with a minimal learning curve and works perfectly every time.

Currently with a pre-discount price of £16.99 on Amazon, if you need an easy to use, easy to see timer that looks a cut above the rest, then this would be a great buy.
