Alright, so let's talk about comic book ads from the 1960s. You know, back when you'd be flipping through an issue of Spider-Man, and BAM—there it is! An ad for X-ray specs!

Yeah, because every 10-year-old in 1965 needed to see through walls. Spoiler alert: you couldn’t even see through your own disappointment.

And how about those "Grow Your Own Sea Monkeys" ads? Oh, the joy of ordering what you think are tiny magical sea creatures, only to find out you just bought brine shrimp. What’s next? “Start Your Own Ant Farm—just add dirt!”

But my favorite? The "Become a Bodybuilder in 7 Days" ad featuring Charles Atlas. Just one week and you go from scrawny to superhero? Yeah, right. Kid, you'll be lucky if you can lift your comic book.

Those ads were like the original clickbait—except instead of wasting your time, they wasted your allowance!
