WALMART TO PAY CALI $7.5 MIL FOR HAZARDOUS & MEDICAL WASTE DUMPING

Walmart settled with California over waste audits which showed Walmart incorrectly disposed of medical and hazardous waste. Walmart agrees to settlement without agreeing to charges and looks forward to bettering their practices. The $7.5 million was a $4.3 million civil fine, then $3.2 million to cover legal costs.
