I must point out that at the height (2m) and rate (500L/s) you provided below, that system has a maximum power of 9.8 kW, but an undershot water wheel + all the other inefficiencies will lower that. Still more than enough for a home, shop or barn. Would love to see a follow-up if you added a generator and ran line. Also, how deep into the pond is that pipe set? I am not sure how you plan to clean the line, say if the valve got crudded up, without first draining your whole pond to the intake
