Catherine Austin Fitts is an American investment banker, former public official, and entrepreneur. Born on December 24, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she has had a distinguished career spanning over four decades.

Government Service
Fitts served as the United States Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Housing under President George H.W. Bush. Prior to this role, she was a managing director at Dillon, Read & Co., a prominent investment bank.

Entrepreneurial Ventures
After leaving government service, Fitts founded Solari, Inc., a company that publishes the Solari Report, a newsletter focused on economics, finance, and geopolitics. She is also the managing member of Solari Investment Screens, LLC, and has designed and closed over $25 billion of transactions and investments to date.
