A haunted house in Queens, “A Haunting in Hollis,” has faced lawsuits from visitors claiming injuries sustained during their visits.

The attraction was shut down on October 5 after the FDNY labeled it a “death trap” due to safety hazards.

Though the NYC Department of Buildings allowed it to reopen after safety improvements, visitor Solainne Mancero-Tannis filed a lawsuit after suffering serious injuries on a slide called “Satan’s Slope.”

She crashed into a concrete wall, shattering both ankles, requiring surgery, and ongoing physical therapy.

Mancero-Tannis aims to raise awareness and seek compensation, and at least four other lawsuits have also been filed.

The haunted house operator’s attorney stated the slide has been removed and denied liability, claiming that guests may have ignored warning signs, NBC News has reported.
