Join us as Amy takes us through Acts 7 - 8:4 for the first part of the story of the first Christian martyr, Stephen, and the continuation of the rejection of people God sends to the Jewish people. In Chapter 6, Stephen was accused of speaking blasphemy against Moses. Now, Stephen stands before the council of High Priests and through his speech brings to light the connection of the Old Testament to Jesus. How was Stephen's message to the council received? One of the corrections that he teaches upon, is that God is not a God confined to one place, like the Temple, but with His people. Had the priests of this day begun to idolize the Temple? Is faith for only what is to been seen? Can we only worship God in a church or temple? Or can our spiritual relationship with God exist anywhere? What were Stephen's last words spoken about his enemies? Come learn how God works all things for good, even in situations like Stephen's death and Saul's persecution of the early Christians.

This is a verse-by-verse study Bible study, allowing deep understanding and context of God's Word. This audio-only recording was adapted from a live Zoom meeting that originally took place on 10/20/24.
