Worshipping with sisters Tabitha and Grace- Reading from Matthew 19: 1-30
Matthew 19: 1-30
In Matthew 19, Jesus Christ taught that one must not divorce his wife, and that those who follow Jesus Christ must prioritize Jesus Christ over everything else in their lives. Hallelujah!
God has joined together husband and wife into one flesh, and no man, whether husband or wife or anyone else, should dare to separate them, because that would be an attempt to destroy the work that God has done.
All the people who truly give their lives for Jesus, those people who believe will receive 100 times the benefits and will have eternal life worth more than it is worth.
My brothers and sisters, what have you given up for Jesus Christ today? The word of God says, "Many first will be last, and many last will be first."
How can we apply this 19th chapter of Matthew to create many good results in our daily lives? Let's start sharing and learning about God's words together.
When Jesus Christ left Galilee and went south into the region of Judea, the Pharisees in Jerusalem began sending people to test Jesus Christ to catch Him. My brothers and sisters, at this point, following Jesus Christ seemed to not only be filled with joy, but also with more people criticizing and resisting Him. So He taught His disciples that if they followed Jesus, they would all receive rewards in this world and the next.
✝️✝️ The Pharisees asked Jesus whether a man could divorce his wife. Jesus answered that he could not. Then the Pharisees asked Him again, "Why did Moses say that you could divorce if you wrote a certificate of divorce?" Jesus answered that it was because their hearts were hardened and they would still divorce no matter what they said. So Moses made the divorce process a bit more complicated so that they would have time to think things through before actually getting divorced.
In those days, many men divorced their wives because they were tired of them and wanted to get divorced. Why? So that they could marry another woman. Jesus said that doing so is adultery.
Sometimes God allows something to happen, not because He approves of it, but because we will act according to our own stubbornness of mind anyway. Yet, God has mercy in allowing us to cause the least harm.
Today, if what is happening to you is due to your own stubbornness and obstinacy, which has led to this problem, what you should do urgently is to come and confess to God, ask Him to forgive you, and truly repent of your actions. Then the situation will improve soon.
✝️✝️ When the disciples asked Jesus, is it better to not get married than to get married? Jesus replied that it is a great thing to not get married for the sake of the Kingdom of God, but not everyone can do it. Those who can do it should do it.
Marriage is a good thing, but being single for the sake of the Kingdom of God is even better. My brothers and sisters, that has nothing to do with being single because you have not found your soulmate yet.
✝️✝️ Jesus Christ just taught his disciples not long ago. Do you remember these words, brothers and sisters?
Matthew 18:5 AMP
[5] Whoever receives and welcomes one child like this in My name receives Me;
It turns out that in this chapter, the disciples forbade the little children who came to see Jesus. They probably thought that these little children would be noisy and disturbing, and they would not understand Jesus Christ's teaching.
Hearing the Word of God is one thing, but actually applying it in your life is another.
My brothers and sisters, how many times have you actually applied the Word of God you heard in your daily life today?
✝️✝️ Jesus said that the rich young man who followed the Law perfectly could not enter heaven, but those little children who did not do any good deeds, but the little children had a part in the kingdom of God.
Entering the kingdom of heaven does not depend on any good qualities, but on humility, obedience, trust in Jesus and the application of His words to create good results for God's people.
The rich young man did many good things, but lacked the willingness to give up everything, turn to believe and trust in the commands of Jesus Christ, which he could not do. On the contrary, if Jesus told a little child to follow Him, that child would not think anything. He would definitely run after Jesus.
Today!!!! There may be many reasons why it is difficult for you to trust Jesus. You must ask God to help you overcome those reasons and make a firm decision to trust Him once and for all.
