Attempted assassination arrests in Israel, police say

Israel police and the Shin Bet (ISA) say they have stopped a fifth assassination attempt in just a month to be carried out on behalf of Iran and the IRGC.

Seven people from East Jerusalem have been arrested for reportedly plotting attacks on a senior scientist and a mayor. All of this after an assassination attempt over the weekend on Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu.

Israel police say they uncovered an Iranian network that is actively recruiting Israelis for terror missions.

US Secretary of State Antony “Tony” Blinken is in Israel to meet with Netanyahu and Israel’s President Isaac Herzog.

The Pentagon is investigating the release of classified documents pertaining to Israel’s preparations for a retaliatory attack on Iran, following Tehran’s attack of 180 ballistic missiles earlier this month.
