Ephesians 4:17-24 "Put on Christ" 10/13/2024

Paul is writing to the church in Ephesus. The city is the temple to Diana, and idol worship, prostitution, and licentiousness are everywhere.
And many of the people who attend the church there have been saved from that lifestyle.
However, Paul is writing this as a warning to the church, so we can assume that some have drifted away from Jesus' teachings.
They have returned to their old lifestyles… and are living the way the rest of the world does.
So, as a witness in the Lord, Paul is testifying from a position of knowledge.
He is a true witness because he has been part of the world and knows what life was like before Jesus became his Lord and Savior.
He knew what it was like to walk in the flesh…but he no longer lives his life that way.
He once lived separated from Jesus, and now he lives in Christ.
