"Adrien Brody is back with one of this awards season's most talked-about films — and it’s also one of the longest! A24 has just dropped the trailer for *The Brutalist*, a mid-20th century epic where Brody, an Oscar winner for his performance in *The Pianist*, plays a European architect starting fresh in post-World War II America.
The film follows László Toth, played by Brody, who moves to the U.S. to rebuild his life, work, and marriage with his wife, Erzsébet. Once in Pennsylvania, a wealthy industrialist spots his talent, but the pursuit of greatness comes with a steep price. Alongside Brody, the movie features a star-studded cast, including Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, and Emma Laird.
*The Brutalist* premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, winning Brady Corbet the Silver Lion for Best Director, and it’s also been making waves at TIFF and the New York Film Festival. With its extended runtime and mid-film intermission, this movie is set to be an unforgettable cinematic experience.
Mark your calendars! *The Brutalist* hits theaters December 20.
