Echoes of Cassian: An Abstract Portrait Unveiled

Hello, friends! This painting came together organically, as they often do. As I applied the colors, the idea of an abstract portrait emerged—something reminiscent of a messy Picasso-style piece. I’m particularly drawn to the reds and vibrant hues in this one.
As I worked, a face began to reveal itself. It started with a hint of an eyebrow on the left, then the nose just stood out. Originally, I considered naming it "Betty," but that didn’t seem right. After some thought, "Cassian" came to mind. It just fit, though I’m not sure why! It’s always fascinating to let your imagination take over and guide your hands, allowing the painting to present itself as you go.
That’s one of the joys of painting—just grabbing some brushes and going for it without worrying about the outcome. I encourage you to try it too!
