THE BATTLE OF 10 November 1945 SURABAYA, a terrible war to defend independence

The Battle of Surabaya occurred because of the following events and occurrences:
Potsdam Agreement.. Japan surrendered unconditionally and world war2 ended...
Consequently, Indonesia, as a former Japanese colony, was handed over to the Allies, but before that plan happened...
In the midst of this vacuum of foreign power, Indonesia proclaimed independence on 17 August, unlike what Japan had promised to Sukarno, who would grant independence from Japan on 24 August... so indeed Indonesian independence was not a gift from Japan. 18 August the Republic of Indonesia was formed, with the existence of a president/wkl president , the foundation of the state, the Constitution, the National Committee and the BKR as the national army. the disarmament of the Japanese army by the BKR and assistance from the militia in Surabaya, such as the Islamic boarding school students and ordinary people who did not want to be colonized again by other nations. the 3 day war, the Yamato incident, the death of General Mallaby, the shooting incident in Surabaya, as proof that the people will defend their independence and do not want to be colonized again by other nations.
