Firewood Cabinet Quick Fix 2

After a couple days of rain I noticed rain collecting on the top of the firewood cabinet. I realized this could be a problem when I was building it but figured I'd do something to address it later. Perhaps I underestimated or overlooked how annoying this could be. Today I'll change how the table is hinged. After yesterday's unforeseen complications I now realize the conversion will take a bit longer than expected due to necessary design changes to allow for new hinge attachment. Plot twist: I finished the quick fix and started a completely other project and basically finished it too. An indoor firewood cart that is right next to the stove is now extended vertically, with a platform to put fire starting materials like paper and cardboard.
