Former Iron Maiden singer Paul Di’Anno, born Paul Andrews, has died at the age of 66 at his home in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Best known for his role as the lead vocalist of Iron Maiden from 1978 to 1981, Di’Anno was instrumental in shaping the band’s early success, singing on their iconic albums Iron Maiden and Killers. After parting ways with Iron Maiden, Di’Anno continued his music career with bands like Battlezone and Killers, as well as releasing numerous solo projects. Despite recent health struggles that limited his mobility, he performed over 100 shows since 2023. His final album, The Book of the Beast, released in September 2024, showcases his legacy and contributions to the metal genre.
