From the upcoming Dimmer Glimmer collection, In memory of my brother Chris "CP" Kelly. Most of the tunes on the upcoming Dimmer Glimmer album are Stones covers. This exception is primarily because CP was not only a fan of Ray & Jimi, but was particularly proud of the fact that he and Hendrix had both served in the US Army Airborne division.
Any time's a good time for a Ray Charles/Jimi Hendrix medley.

Brother CP was quite a character, so I'm throwing in the following story in free of charge (Appropriate for football season as well):
Sometime in the early fall of 1989, CP and I were having a couple of happy hour cocktails out on the deck at some Cape Cod lounge, enhancing the (then) illicit substance we consumed en route.
We were in a conversation with a couple of women. I was wearing a maroon football shirt with white numbers - no team name or anything of the kind. CP told the gals that I was a placekicker for the New England Patriots, and that he was my agent, Conrad Kelly. "Just call me Connie," he said.
They responded that they knew one of the Patriot cheerleaders, and asked if I knew her. "Connie" immediately responded, "No, the team won't let the players fraternize with the cheerleaders."
We headed out shortly thereafter, Connie the agent and George the placekicker, the ruse still intact.
