Jared Chance Sentenced| Murder Dismemberment of Woman in Grand Rapids rapids • SENTENCES

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Jared Chance was convicted of second-degree murder and other charges in the November killing and dismemberment of Ashley Young.

A Kent County Circuit Court jury deliberated three hours before finding Chance, 30, guilty of all charges in the killing of the 31-year-old Kalamazoo-area woman.

The two were friends. She had visited Chance at his Grand Rapids home before she was killed.

The prosecution said he shot her in the head or landed fatal blows to her head before he started cutting up her body in a failed cover up. Her head, hands and feet have not been found.
