Is it true that there used to be a palace (residence of the ruler/duke) in Surabaya? If there used to be, where is the Surabaya palace now?

The name Curabahya itself has existed since the Majapahit era, and was written in the Kakawin Negarakertagama (canto 17: 5, 1287 Saka or 1365 AD) during the reign of King Hayamwuruk. In the poem about this journey written by Prapantja in 1365, it can be read in song 17 (5th stanza, last line) "yan ring Janggala many sabha nrpati ring Surabhaya manulus marinq Buwun", which according to Prof Kern, is literally translated, meaning : "When the Prince was in Janggala, he always stopped at the palace in Surabhaya, from where he continued his journey to Buwun." Janggala is the old name of the area, located within the present boundaries of Sidoardjo and Surabaya Regencies
