Musk Says Benson Is ‘Blatantly Lying’ About Inflated Voter Rolls In Michigan

The battleground state of Michigan has 8.4 million registered voters, which according to Bridge Michigan, is almost 500,000 more that the number of people who are eligible to vote in the state. In fact, they say, many counties in the state have registration rates of more than 100%.

The states Secretary of State, Democrat Jocelyn Benson has moved to dismiss the RNC’s lawsuit and even though she admits that hundreds of thousands of names are set to be removed from the voter rolls after the 2024 election, she’s accusing Elon Musk of spreading ‘dangerous misinformation’
The pair got into a feud on X – with Musk responding to Benson saying ‘Shame on you! For blatantly lying to the public. You plan to remove the ineligible names after the election which necessarily means there are far more people registered to vote than there are eligible voters.
Attorneys for Benson say that since 2019 Benson has removed about 800,000 people from the statewide voter roll and that another 360,000 would be removed in 2025.
