The US Navy has declared two missing aviators from the Electronic Attack Squadron 130 dead, days after their EA-18G Growler crashed near Mount Rainier, Washington, during a training flight.

Cmdr. Timothy Warburton expressed condolences and emphasized support for the families and the squadron community.

The aircraft crashed on Tuesday, and search teams located the wreckage on Thursday, reaching the site two days later.

The crash site is situated at about 6,000 feet in a remote and heavily wooded area, CNN has reported.
