Billy Bourbon - "I Don’t Bow: Part One" (Official Music Video)

Welcome to the first part of Billy Bourbon’s discovery of Gazpacho. Our gray tabby hero, Billy Bourbon, receives a VCR tape revealing the horrors of the cult leader/crime lord. The intro begins, set in Billy's Man (cat?) cave as he starts the tape, but quickly delves into Gazapacho's dark world. The horrors are reflected in the dark music soundtrack, apparently reflecting the trauma of someone who personally experienced Gazpacho's torture- or is it?

What goes on in the mind of Billy Bourbon as he watches the power and control of the self-proclaimed king, Gazpacho? Why would it matter to Billy, as he seems to understand this is occurring in a city on the other side of the vast country he lives in?

This is only Part One of a two-part saga—so stay tuned for Billy’s final word in "I Don’t Bow: Part Two" Billy Bourbon - "I Don’t Bow: Part Two" (Official Music Video).

Featured Lyrics: "So, this Gazpacho, calls himself king? Well, let me tell you, he ain’t runnin’ a thing. Takin' pride in fear? That’s just low-I.Q., I’ve met alley rats tougher, more 'n a few."

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
There’s a room underground, where the walls drip wet,
The air’s so thick, you’re choking on sweat.
I stood there once, across from his chair,
But it’s the guards by the door that froze me in place, right there.

One was built like a mountain, fists clenched tight,
The other’s dead eyes, just waiting for a fight.
You don’t breathe easy, your body goes numb,
And that’s when you realize the worst is yet to come.

Pre-Chorus:
The floor’s slick with fear, the stench fills the air,
You hear the men before you, breaking in despair.
Gazpacho just watches, but you know the drill,
One wrong move, and those guards will kill.

Chorus:
Billy Bourbon, I’ve seen the fall,
Where strong men break and crawl down the hall.
They lose their pride, soaked in piss and shame,
But there’s no way out, they know who's to blame.
Yeah, they know who's to blame.

Verse 2:
I’ve smelled the mildew, the rot in the floor,
Seen men walk in tough, but they don’t walk no more.
Their faces go pale, their legs give out,
The fear hits hard, fills them with doubt.

The guards don’t need to move, they just stand and stare,
But it’s enough to make grown men shake and swear.
I watched a man once, couldn’t hold it in—
Pissed himself clean, skin pale as sin.

Pre-Chorus:
The walls close tight, the air turns cold,
You feel your grip on yourself unfold.
Gazpacho doesn’t speak, but you hear him loud,
It’s his silence that strips away the proud.

Chorus:
Billy Bourbon, I’ve felt that grip,
Where your body breaks before you slip.
It’s not about fighting, there’s no place to run,
Just the slow collapse till your mind is done.
And the moment you know, you’re part of his game,
That alone’s enough to drive you insane.
Yeah, it drives you insane.

Bridge:
I’ve seen men walk in strong, but they leave in shame,
Stripped of their pride, with no one to blame.
It’s not the rats or the claws you hear,
But the quiet tension and the creeping fear.

You hear the drip from the ceiling above,
And the guards stand close, there’s no room for love.
I’ve watched them crack, I’ve seen them fall,
Till there’s nothing left of the man at all.

Chorus (outro):
Billy Bourbon, if you want to see,
There’s no rats or claws, just a room with no key.
You don’t leave that room without losing it all,
Even the strong break down and crawl.
And when you realize you’re just a pawn,
The truth of it breaks you, and you’re gone.
Yeah, and you’re gone.
(It’s a room where you fall…)
