How To Make Album Art USEFUL For Every Platform | Nekro 1990 - NYAN CAT

This song is a tribute to the world wide phenomena of the 2011 meme “Nyan Cat”. To illustrate the cover art I used the vector based program Adobe Illustrator. After that I took the vector files into Adobe Photoshop and formatted the illustrator assets into designs for both the cover art of the song and for the vertical post on instagram “stories” for promotional purposes. Then I created separate photoshop layers to take into Adobe After Effects and created a simple motion graphics canvas for the horizontal platforms like YouTube and vertical platforms like Spotify. Lastly, I took the motion graphics files into Adobe Premiere to sync with the music and export via Adobe Media Encoder. If you’re a musician, filmmaker or artist of any kind make your cover art as useful as possible, for as many platforms as possible. Or hire me to help you out, but I ain’t cheap.
