Ubisoft Panics Over Woke Assassin’s Creed Hexe: Gayest Flop Incoming!

Ubisoft is reportedly nervous about the release of Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which some insiders are calling the "gayest Assassin’s Creed yet." Rumors suggest that the game is heavily focused on female empowerment, witch covens, lesbian relationships, and mysticism, marking a significant departure from the original Assassin’s Creed formula. Set during the Salem witch trials, Assassin’s Creed Hexe has been internally mocked by its developers for potentially angering fans, yet they pressed forward with the concept.

With four years of development already behind it and at least two more to go, Ubisoft is allegedly considering scaling down Hexe into a smaller, Liberation-style game due to fears that it won’t sell well. Sources say Ubisoft is frustrated with the poor fan reception to the game’s female-centric narrative, leading to discussions about gutting the game to make it more commercially viable.

This comes after the recent struggles of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, with sales stopping a month after launch and the Twitch player base all but vanishing. Ubisoft is clearly concerned about the franchise’s future, with titles like Assassin’s Creed Codename Red and Assassin’s Creed Shadows in development, but the fear is that this woke direction could damage the series even further.
