According to the Biblical prophecies, the antichrist was not militarily strong enough to act. There were ten nations that supported the goals of antichrist. We can identify them because these nations, we are told, have an immigrant society, do not get along policy wise, support Zionist Israel with effort, have a very strong well equipped military and own many war ships. And are in a cooperative agreement with Turkey. ...It's NATO.
