Deer vs American Akita | Standoff | Stare down | Akita standing guard on property line

Kinjo the American Akita goes outside while a herd of deer grazed in the field. His sister, Yuki, didn't want to go down there while the deer herd was out there and so she stayed by the house. When I let Kinjo out, he went straight down to the field and sat there observing the deer while they observed him. They deer and dog held their ground for awhile as they kept an eye on each other.

Once the deer moved on, I called the goodest boy back to me.

We see deer all of the time, and there was no danger to the deer or the dog. They are both very familiar with each other.
