This week, to ring in Season 2 of History Homos, Scott is joined by Patrick and Bobby Tamburro to discuss the clash of wills between the two remaining factions of the failing Roman Republic after the death of Julius Caesar. On the side of the Triumvirate were two of Caesar's former right hand men Marc Anthony and Marcus Lepidus as well as his adopted son Octavian and on the side of the Republic respecting Liberatores was Marcus Brutus and Cassius Longinus. After considerable political and social turmoil back in Rome the Triumvirates set their sights on eliminating their rivals and the final battle occurred in late 42 B.C. in Macedonia near a town called Philippi.
