Experimenting With Another Mic Placement (DJI Mic 2 - Bluetooth)

I am trying out another mic placement.

DJI Mic 2 (bluetooth) connected to the DJI Osmo Action 4. The microphone is set to -12 db.

I used the stock windscreen and a dead cat. This, coupled with placing the microphone inside of the sunglass compartment (it's thicker and made out of a harder material) seems to have blocked out the wind noise. However, it also seems to have muffled the overall sound.

Overall, I would say this setup is a 5/10 for me. I am still trying to hunt down the best option. I think I am going to try recording with a receiver instead of bluetooth and see if I have better luck. I'll also remove the stock windshield and just go with the deadcat. The only other variable will be which compartment to use. The side compartments can cause a lot of wind noise with the stock windscreen - I am hoping the oversized deadcat will resolve that issue. I look forward to further testing!
