Vote on Election Day, November 5th, 2024

My name is Kathy Maney. I am the Republican Precinct Chair for my Hoopers Creek Community in Henderson County, North Carolina.
On the first day of early voting, I had signed up to be a Poll Observer at the Board of Elections in Hendersonville. I left early to get there on time.
Every precinct in Henderson County, including Hoopers Creek, are required to early vote at the Board of Elections in Hendersonville.
This put a huge burden and hardship on many voters in my community. Most are just trying to survive and get their lives back in order right now. Some don’t have the money for gas to drive all the way into Hendersonville, on damaged roads, to vote. They are doing their best to make it safely to Fletcher and back home.
I am making this video to show our County, District and State leaders exactly what it is like for my community to travel to Hendersonville to vote early. There should have been a voting place near Hoopers Creek or Fletcher for people who have had their lives destroyed by this hurricane.
