Civilization's Erosion (Dissolution Loop #1)

This is part of a music series I've titled The Dissolution Loops, inspired by William Basinkski's Disintegration Loops. The common theme in these meditative, lo-fi ambient music loop compositions is civilization decline, accelerated over the past century by post-modernism's destructive influence on Western society and culture. I use devolving, repeating melody loops as metaphor for this erosion. I'm not yet willing to surrender to nihilistic or dystopian outcomes, and so my pieces usually descend into dissonance but return to consonance (somewhat) by the end. Nihilism and atheism are choices; so, too, is faith in a greater good beyond this earthly realm. I do have faith in an afterlife.
