DRIVER ROLLS PICKUP, EJECTED AND KILLED, SCHWAB CITY TEXAS, 10/19/24...

Driver Rolls Vehicle, Ejected and Deceased, SCHWAB CITY, October 19, 2024 - Sometime during the night at around the 2 am hour, the driver of a navy blue old model Chevy Blazer was north-bound on US-146. For some reason, the driver left the pavement to the right slightly, then overcorrected left and started sliding sideways, causing his vehicle to roll. During the rollover, the driver (name not yet released) was ejected and killed as his vehicle came to rest upside down at the woodline just north of Sunny Drive (Forest Springs Subdivision). The accident was discovered after it had happened by a passer by who called 911. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Sergeant Darren Brooks with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Troopers Damon Zarate and Nick Hatton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Justice of the Peace, Robert "Dooley" Johnson filed an inquest at the scene. The driver was transported from the scene by a first-call car from Cochran Funeral Home.
