An afternoon spent watching a Kingfisher! YORKSHIRE WILDLIFE PARK

Yesterday (18th October 2024) I was determined to wait as long as it took to get a decent photo of the kingfisher I had been trying to get a photo of for months!
I had seen it zoom along the River Torne several times, just a blue flash, and had even see it briefly land, but never for long enough to get a photo.
That all changed yesterday when I spent a couple of hours watching it perch and catch fish from one of its favourite spots.
