#310 | I ASSURE YOU WE'RE HAVING AN EPISODE DISCUSSING MUNCIE AREA ISSUES! | The Political Spotlight

Well, the 310th episode of the program started off a bit rocky! First, Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey just about slept through the show. Then, Producer Kate and Bilbrey both had tech issues and finally, he couldn't get the thumbnail to work the way he wanted!

ALL THAT - FOR AN EPISODE THAT IS A "BONUS" ANYWAY! Seeing how Fridays are usually an "OFF NIGHT" for us! That all said, once things got going, they really started cooking!

Bilbrey quickly lays out where we stand with the upcoming 2024 election!

Then, for the last time (unless something major crops up), Bilbrey quickly discusses the "newest information" surrounding the "LOW-BLOW" attack ad that the Indiana State Republican Party ran on Donald Rainwater. Specifically, Bilbrey talks about Rainwater appearing on the Hammer and Nigel Show on 93.1, WIBC! He answered all the questions, and he laid it all out! This issue has been put to bed!

From there, Bilbrey reviews the most recent Muncie Redevelopment Commission meeting, which took place on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 9 a.m. AND AS NORMAL, THERE IS A LOT TO TAKE IN WITH THE MRC MEETING!

Next, Bilbrey talks about the BIG BREAKING NEWS of the day: JoAnn McKinney's firing as the Director of the Horizon Convention Center after 25 years in that role. In a "public meeting" that only lasted ten minutes, the Delaware County Advancement Corporation Board (DAC) quickly took the vote to fire McKinney without allowing her or the public a chance to comment, and the vote fell pretty much down "political" party lines! With the Republicans on the board voting to fire her and the Democrats being outraged by the action! While this was undoubtedly a shock to many, it is something that Bilbrey believes has been in the works for a while, or at least since the reorganization of the Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce and Delaware Advancement Corporation Boards in October 2023. Now the question becomes WHY!? Why did the firing happen? Bilbrey believes McKinney was WAY OVERPAID, but was she fired for logical reasons or because she dared question the unquestionable topics? Looks like it's time to find out!

And finally, Bilbrey again talks about the fact that the Delaware County, Indiana Republican Party (otherwise known as "The Family") has canceled their "Lincoln Day Dinner" that was set for Saturday, October 19, 2024 (TOMORROW - as of the LIVE broadcast). This cancelation came as a result of LOW INTEREST IN ATTENDING! Once again, this proves how "The Family" leadership of Ed Carroll and Jessica Pipper is SLOWLY SUFICATING LIFE FROM THE PARTY! And Bilbrey says... DO IT! BURN IT ALL DOWN SO THAT SOMETHING BETTER CAN RISE FROM THE ASHES!
