Vampires Superstition or reality

A vampire is a blood-sucking, nocturnal creature. It is a reanimated human corpse that feeds on human blood and - depending on the culture and myth - possesses various supernatural powers. Most ethnologists agree that the belief in vampires originated in south-east Europe. Many believe that it originated in Transylvania. It is believed that people who have been bitten by a vampire become vampires themselves. Supposedly, vampires die when sunlight falls on them or a wooden stake is driven through their heart. I would be interested to know if there is any truth to these vampire stories. The fact is that horror films and stories about vampires fascinate people all over the world.
