Texas Supreme Court Halts Execution of Robert Roberson

The Texas Supreme Court has halted the execution of Robert Roberson, convicted of murdering his 2-year-old daughter in 2002, after state lawmakers subpoenaed him to testify about his case.

Roberson, who faced lethal injection on October 17, was convicted based on claims his daughter died from shaken baby syndrome.

However, his attorneys argue she died due to health issues, not abuse. A lead detective and advocates now believe Roberson is innocent, People Magazine has reported.
