Israel's proxy war with Iran leaves young children in Gaza and Lebanon burned from head to toe

Today, I want to share some heart-wrenching stories from the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The devastation is immense, and it's the innocent civilians, especially children, who are bearing the brunt of it. In Gaza, a recent Israeli airstrike on a tent camp resulted in a devastating fire. One of the countless victims was Shaaban Al-Dalou. His father, Ahmed, managed to rescue his younger children but tragically lost Shaaban and his wife in the blaze. The grief and guilt Ahmed carries are unimaginable. Gaza's hospitals are overwhelmed, struggling to cope with the influx of burn victims. Thirteen-year-old Layaan Hamadeen is one such victim. She suffered severe burns while simply trying to find food for her family. Her wish is simple- for the war to end, and for life to return to normal. Her longing mirrors the cries of many young victims caught in this relentless conflict. The story of the Al-Dalou family and Layaan highlights the devastating impact of the ongoing conflict on innocent civilians. The lack of adequate medical facilities and resources further deepens their suffering. There's an urgent need for humanitarian aid and a swift resolution to this conflict. But the tragedy doesn't stop at Gaza's borders. The conflict has spread to Lebanon. Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah strongholds have resulted in significant civilian casualties, with over 2,300 deaths and 11,000 injuries reported by the Lebanese health ministry. Lebanon's only fully equipped burn unit is overwhelmed, forced to triple its capacity. Among the patients is eleven-year-old Hamoodi. He sustained burns on one side of his body and remains unaware of the tragic loss of his father and brother in the same airstrike. Then there's 21-month-old Yvana, who suffered severe burns all over her body. The stories of Hamoodi, Yvana, and countless others underscore the brutal toll this conflict is taking on innocent children. These heartbreaking accounts highlight the urgent need for international intervention to protect civilians and work toward a peaceful resolution. The world cannot turn a blind eye to the suffering of these children. It's time for action, compassion, and a collective effort to bring peace to this region. Thanks for watching, and stay informed.
