Before explaining the spiritual nuggets found in the first chapters of Acts, Pastor Walter Rasmussen opens the evening by inviting prayers from the attendees. Pastor Walter likes to call the book of Acts " The Works of the Holy Spirit" because it is the acts of the Holy Spirit working through men. The only qualification to be a Christian is to be sinful and confess that Jesus died on the cross for your sins. Pastor Walter describes four different "tongues" given in the New Testament besides Acts 2. 1 Cor 14, 1 Cor 12, and Romans 8, describing the types of mechanisms of tongues. The Holy Spirit is called our teacher. Prayer, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, avails much - yes even to this day. Pastor Walter encourages us with some hints on prayer.
