Meet Lucca, a courageous German Shepherd-Belgian Malinois mix who served with the U.S. Marine Corps for six years. Trained to detect explosives, Lucca completed over 400 missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, saving countless lives without a single human casualty under her watch. In 2012, she was injured by an IED blast, leading to the amputation of her left leg. After her recovery, Lucca was adopted by her handler, Gunnery Sergeant Chris Willingham.
