The VA-8th October 17, 2024 Debate: Hensel, Kennedy, and DonBot

The True Representation Movement and The Black Alumni Alliance National Association are proud to host a virtual Candidates' Debate for VA-8th Congressional District.

The Date: Thursday October 17, 2024.
Start Time: 8:00 pm EDT.
End Time: 9:00 pm EDT.

Appearing in person in this debate:

- Bentley Hensel (Independent)
- David Kennedy (Independent)

Given that the incumbent, Congressman Don Beyer (D), has declined the invitation to appear on this forum, an AI system trained on his public statements, press releases, and speeches, will be used to enable the audience to become more familiar with the Representative’s stand on the issues.

The Republican candidate, Jerry Torres, who also declined to appear, will not have an AI system available to represent his position given that the critical mass of documents and information needed to deliver a performing and accurate AI system could not be obtained.

This debate has sparked a great deal of interest for its inclusion of an AI stand-in for incumbent Don Beyer.
