Peter, Parkinson, Hanlon, Murphy and Dilbert Walk Into a Meeting

Climbing ladders, up we go,
Promoted to a place we don’t quite know.
Once the star, now lost in the haze,
What happened to the skills that earned us praise?
We’re stuck in meetings, can’t find the way,
Wishing we could go back to yesterday!

Got a project due by the end of the month,
But here we are, still in the initial blunts.
Two weeks wasted, just chatting away,
What could’ve been done in a single day!
“Just five more meetings,” we all say,
And suddenly it’s crunch time—where did the time stray?

When plans go sideways, don’t you fret,
If something can go wrong, you can place your bet!
The printer jams, the coffee spills,
Traffic’s a nightmare, it tests our skills.
So take a breath, let out a sigh,
It’s all part of the game; just let it fly!

Now if you’re stuck, don’t point a blame,
Sometimes it’s just a silly game.
Not out to get you, just a blunder,
Most folks are clueless, can’t pull it together.
They meant no harm, they just misread,
So give them a break; it’s all in your head!

In the office jungle, here’s the trick,
The ones who can’t do it get promoted quick.
They rise to the top, just to clear the way,
So the real doers can shine and slay.
They sit in meetings, looking quite grand,
While the go-getters toil, making their stand!

So here’s to the quirks of our daily grind,
In this dance of life, we’re all intertwined.
With laughter and joy, let’s take a ride,
In this crazy world, we’re all on the same side!
